We are a branch of the Turpin family line, the earliest family father being Thomas Turpin, who was born abou 1708 in Coxwold, Yorkshire, England. He married Rachel Dickinson and lived around Ferry Fryston England in 1733. Our branch is through John Turpin, their eldest son, and his grandson, William Turpin.
William Turpin married Elizabeth Tidswell in about 1837 in and immigrated to the United Stated in the 1840s and settled for a short while in Nauvoo, Ill. before making their final journey to Salt Lake City, Ut., which is where our family branch has lived for more than four generations.
With this web site, we seek to publish our family stories, photos and tender memories so that other family members - in any way connected - may find joy in reading pieces too.
Of course it's a work in progress, so come back soon. We will continue posting pieces of our family history as we find them. Should you wish to contact us, feel free to do so.
